These cups bring me back to a special time in my life working at Cold Spring Tavern. The Cold Spring Tavern is an old 1860's Stagecoach stop turned mountain restaurant. If you've ever spent time in Santa Barbara, chances are someone has suggested that you give the old girl a visit. On your way there it's inevitable that you'll get a glorious view of this amazing bridge on Highway 154 above the canyon where the Tavern is nestled. The bridge is called Cold Spring Canyon Arch Bridge. "It is currently the highest arch bridge in the U.S. state of California and among the highest bridges in the United States. At its highest point, the bridge deck is 400 ft (122 m) above the canyon floor. The bridge is also the largest steel arch bridge in the state. It was determined to be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places with exceptional significance." The Tavern was home to me for a number of years while I lived and worked in Santa Barbara. Anyone who has paid it a visit I'm sure has a fond memory to share. Some of these cups have just the bridge and some have a little whisper of the Tavern as well. There are also Some cups that are hand painted. Each one has a little piece of my heart in it. My hope is that each one of these cups find a home with someone who has also been touched by the magic of that little canyon and the history that lives there.
