Born in Placer County, California, Alexis Chantarelle Berry is an artist, entrepreneur, mother, and community leader whose life beautifully blends creativity, purpose, and family. She is the founder of a small pottery business called TerraformingMoxie, a brand built on the belief that we are all capable of shaping our inner and outer worlds with intention, courage, and heart. Her work encourages transformation and authentic expression, resonating deeply with customers who value handcrafted meaning.

Alexis spent nearly 20 cherished years living in Santa Barbara, where her son Gus was born. Now 12 and a passionate baseball player, Gus remains a central joy in her life and a driving force behind her involvement in the community. Her dedication to supporting youth sports led her to join the board of Sierra Foothills Little League, where she helps guide and strengthen an organization that means so much to local families.

Her family grew even richer when she partnered with her fella Ryan, expanding her world to include his five amazing children. Together they form a vibrant, blended family full of humor, support, and shared adventure. Alexis embraces her role as a bonus mom with deep love and gratitude, finding inspiration in the unique personalities and journeys of each child.

Alongside running TerraformingMoxie, Alexis works part-time at the Auburn Alehouse, a beloved community gathering place where she enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life. She is also a committed student at Sierra College, steadily working her way toward nursing school. Her path toward healthcare grows from a lifelong dedication to helping others — combining her nurturing spirit with a desire to provide skilled, compassionate care.

Across all her roles — artist, mother, partner, entrepreneur, community volunteer, and future nurse — Alexis is known for her warmth, resilience, intuition, and authenticity. She lives the message behind TerraformingMoxie: that through creativity, courage, and compassion, we can continually reshape our lives into something meaningful, connected, and full of moxie.
